We started developing our own recipes on our farm in Betws y Coed, North Wales, after our own dogs turned their noses up at every mainstream brand available at the time. We soon recognised the demand for an all natural completely balanced dog food, and Pero was born.

From the very first recipe, we've never used artificial colours, additives, or preservatives. We are certified cruelty-free by PETA and are one of the very few pet food companies recommended by Uncaged. Every recipe is complete and balanced, 100% delicious, as nature intended.

After decades supplying through trade and retail, Pero started selling direct to dog owners again in 2022. The response has been extraordinary. The new website is the next step in bringing Pero directly to the people who matter most, dogs and their owners, with the service and simplicity they deserve.
Growing in Wales

After more than 40 years producing food from our original site at Betws y Coed, we moved to a much larger facility in Penygroes, Gwynedd, to keep up with demand. We also expanded the Pero offering with our cold pressed range and a relaunched treats range that has quickly become a favourite with dogs everywhere.
